Assistant Professor / Associate Professor

Department of Primary Care & Population Health / College of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program [College Station]

The Texas A&M College of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program invites applications for an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor position: a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. The rank of the appointment (Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor) will be determined by the candidate’s credentials. The successful candidate will be appointed a faculty title within the Academic Department of Primary Care & Population Health. The Texas A&M College of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program trains residents for a broad scope of practices that prepare them to practice in urban, suburban, and rural settings, or to consider a career in Academic Family Medicine. The responsibilities for the successful candidate include, but are not limited to, direct patient care; teaching clinical practice of Family Medicine to medical students and Family Medicine residents and fellows; supervision of residents and fellows in the Family Medicine Center, night and weekend call, and rotation with other faculty in the coverage of inpatient hospital services.

The area is a small city with extensive surrounding rural areas yet only 90 minutes from Austin or Houston. The university assures both cultural and sports entertainment and excellent schools and neighborhoods. Local healthcare infrastructure includes the College of Medicine, 3 general hospitals and over 400 clinicians of various medical specialties.

Texas A&M Health Science Center/College of Medicine is currently seeking a Psychiatrist to join a new Psychiatry program in Bryan-College Station. The Department of Psychiatry at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine is currently recruiting adult and child & adolescent psychiatrists for multiple faculty positions (Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor and/or Clinical Professor) at our clinical sites in the Bryan/College Station area. Opportunities are available to be a part of a growing academic clinical enterprise.  In addition to outpatient practice, positions are available in emergency, consult/liaison and addictions psychiatry.  The department is actively involved in medical education and is currently developing a psychiatry residency training program. 

Required Education:

  • M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree
  • Completion of an accredited psychiatric residency training program

Required Experience:

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Expertise and documented experience in leading Psychiatric services delivery.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary setting

Salary:  Commensurate
