Biography

Kevin Sy is an instructional designer and learning product designer with the Office of Interprofessional Practice, Education, & Research (IPER) at Texas A&M Health. His work combines learning science, instructional design, technology integration, and creative experience design to develop engaging learning environments for interprofessional health education. He collaborates with faculty and the IPER team to design learner-centered experiences that help students learn with, from, and about one another across health disciplines. 

Kevin’s design interests include AI-supported learning tools, interactive simulations, gamified learning experiences, and technology-enhanced course environments. In IPER, he also supports accessibility remediation, digital learning workflows, and the management of large-scale online learning communities. 

Kevin holds a Doctor of Education in Learning and Instruction from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Music from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Music. His doctoral research was a meta-analysis examining the effectiveness of microlearning compared to traditional learning across a broad range of educational settings.
