Biography

Kevin Sy, EdD, is an instructional designer in the Office of Interprofessional Practice, Education & Research (IPER) at Texas A&M Health, where he collaborates with faculty and the IPER team to design and advance interprofessional learning experiences across the health professions. His work blends learning science, instructional design, and learning experience design to create learner-centered approaches to interprofessional education.

Beyond instructional design, Dr. Sy leads technology and innovation initiatives that shape how IPER develops and delivers interprofessional education. He guides the strategic evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies, translating them into meaningful, immersive, and interactive learning experiences for students. He also leads accessibility initiatives that strengthen the inclusivity, usability, and user experience within IPER’s digital learning ecosystem.

Dr. Sy earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from San Francisco State University and his doctoral degree in Learning and Instruction from the University of San Francisco.
