Clinical Initiatives Leadership
About
The Office of Clinical Initiatives serves as the strategic and operational backbone of Texas A&M Health's clinical enterprise. Under integrated leadership, the office directs clinical strategy, business development and real estate portfolio management across all five health science colleges and their affiliated clinical operations.
The office provides comprehensive business intelligence and strategic planning support to clinical departments and academic colleges, enabling data-informed decision-making across clinical programs, joint ventures and new service line development. Working across the health system's diverse portfolio—including acute care hospitals, rural clinics, specialty centers and academic medical centers—the office identifies growth opportunities, evaluates partnership development and supports the financial sustainability of clinical operations.
Core functions include business planning and venture analysis for new clinical programs and partnerships, operational and financial support for clinical department leadership, implementation management for clinical program expansion and modernization, and stewardship of Texas A&M Health's comprehensive real estate portfolio. The office collaborates closely with academic and clinical leadership to align educational missions with operational excellence and measured performance improvement.
The Office of Clinical Initiatives also leads the Faculty Practice Plan, which integrates licensed providers from all five health science colleges. This practice platform serves as a living laboratory for research and interprofessional education. Through population health management, primary care innovation and collaborative clinical models, the practice demonstrates how interprofessional teams can advance health equity, clinical excellence and sustainable health care delivery.
