Biography
Supporting the Director for Foundational Interprofessional Education (IPE) Curriculum, Ms. Yanez plays a key role in planning, developing, and implementing a range of exposure- and immersion-level educational activities. These initiatives include IPE 101 for Students, TeamSTEPPS® training, the IPER Symposium, Disaster Day, and the Clarion Competition. She brings substantial project management experience to her role, effectively overseeing timelines, logistics, and communication plans to ensure the seamless execution of these complex educational programs. Ms. Yanez is also deeply committed to enhancing the learning experience of health professions students. She consistently fosters relationships with key stakeholders across colleges and disciplines, recognizing the importance of interprofessional engagement in shaping competent and compassionate healthcare providers.
Ms. Yanez earned a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State University, where she developed a foundational understanding of human health and performance—knowledge that continues to inform her work in interprofessional education today.
