Biography
Kristin has been in healthcare simulation since 2017. During this time, she has worked as a
standardized patient (SP), simulating various health conditions in front of individual students, as
well as in group settings and online through telesimulation events. As a professional actor, she has
been able to bring extensive acting, training, and experience to the SP program at the Texas A&M
Simulation & Immersive Learning Center to help provide a realistic simulation experience for the
students. Additionally, she helps train other SPs on various health cases and helps them to hone
their skills to portray physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms both truthfully and
effectively.
For the past five years, Kristin has supported the programming and execution of events. She
conducts SP training sessions and ensures quality performance through video reviews and written
evaluations. Additionally, she oversees SP recruitment, orientation, and casting for Objective
Structured Clinical Exams (OSCEs).
