Timely Warnings

When a serious crime occurs on campus that represents an immediate threat to the campus, security will publicize a warning. Timely Warnings will be distributed via e-mail.

Circumstances for which a Timely Warning will be issued include, but are not limited to, the receipt of a good faith report to the security office or other campus security authorities of a crime reportable under the Clery Act that poses a continuing threat to the campus community. The director of security, or designee is responsible for determining if a Timely Warning will be issued. The determination will be made on a case by case basis after due consideration of all available facts of the crime, such as the nature of the crime and whether or not a continuing danger to the campus community exists
