About Dr. Pekarek
Katie Jo Pekarek, DO, is the clinical assistant professor in the Family Medicine Residency program at the Texas A&M College of Medicine. Her teaching interests are international medicine, high-risk and surgical obstetrics and critical care medicine.
Dr. Pekarek received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Dallas Baptist University, became a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency with the Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency program in 2014.
Dr. Pekarek received the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2016 and 2017 and the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award in 2014.
