Education and Qualifications

Goldsmith serves the Health Science Center as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist and Assistant Fire Marshal. Goldsmith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geography, resource and environmental studies from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and two Associates of Applied Science degrees in environmental compliance and radiation protection from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. He served the Health Science Center as an EHS representative for the Temple and Round Rock campuses prior to working in Bryan.

Specialty Training/Board Certifications

Goldsmith is certified by the International Code Council as a Certified Fire Inspector, and is also certified in 24/40 hour HAZWOPER, 30 Hour OSHA General Industry, 30 Hour OSHA Construction Industry standards. Goldsmith serves as a co-chair for the CSHEMA Fire & Life Safety Community of Practice, and as a South Texas Chapter of the Health Physics Society board member.
