Continuity Planning

The goal of continuity planning is to identify and document key functions of an organization, devise strategies to sustain operations, and propose actions that can be accomplished in advance to make the organization more resilient. Having a continuity plan will help to ensure normal operations continue should a disaster or crisis event of any size and nature occur.

HSC Ready Continuity Planning Tool

HSC Ready is a version of the Kuali Ready continuity planning software that has been customized for use by the Texas A&M Health Science Center.

HSC Ready is to be used by those persons designated within their center, institute, department or unit to coordinate the development of a continuity plan. HSC Ready assists the Texas A&M Health Science Center in complying with Texas Administrative Code Title 1 Part 10 Chapter 202 Subchapter C Rule §202.74 Business Continuity Planning. This rule requires institutions of higher education to maintain business continuity plans that address information resources so that the effects of a disaster will be minimized, and the institution of higher education will be able to either maintain or quickly resume mission critical functions.
