November 2017: Thanksgiving Message
To the HSC Community,
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for all you do to make the Health Science Center a success and an institution that adds value to those we serve. I’m grateful for many things this year.
I am grateful for our students. You represent the next generation of health care professionals ready to lead by example—living the core values you have been instilled with.
I am grateful for our staff. Thank you for your steadfast commitment to our mission. Your untiring dedication to this academic center makes it possible for us to produce excellent dentists, nurses, medical scientists, pharmacists, physicians, and public health professionals.
I am grateful for our faculty. Thank you for preparing our students both scientifically and clinically. Whether entering the professional world, continuing their education or pursuing other learning opportunities, our students are equipped with the tools necessary to succeed. Their future is bright because of you.
I’m honored to be part of such a remarkable community of individuals. This holiday season, I hope you enjoy the company of your loved ones and take time to reflect on your many blessings. I wish you a healthy Thanksgiving.
With warmest wishes,
Carrie L. Byington, MD
