When a serious crime occurs on campus that represents an immediate threat to the campus, Security will publicize a warning. Timely Warnings will be distributed via e-mail, and the Security website.
Circumstances for which a Timely Warning will be issued include, but are not limited to, the receipt of a good faith report to the Security Office of other campus security authorities of a crime reportable under the Clery Act that poses continuing threat to the campus community. The Director, Security Administration, or designee is responsible for determining if a Timely Warning will be issued. The determination will be made on a case by case basis after due consideration of all available facts of the crime, such as the nature of the crime and whether or not a continuing danger to the campus community exists.
