Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy Research Highlights

The Texas A&M Health Science Center Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, located on the Texas A&M University-Kingsville campus, was created in response to the shortage of pharmacists in the border region. The HSC-Rangel College of Pharmacy represents a significant addition to the Texas A&M Health Science Center as a learning-intensive, student-centered, ability-based educational program.

The HSC-COP is currently developing affiliations with regional programs and community organizations to conduct pharmacy practice experiences. Research efforts also have been initiated by faculty and students in its first year, and potential research centers are in development. More than $90,000 in research grant funds were awarded for fiscal year 2006.
