The Institutional Effectiveness Council was established as a vehicle for coordinating assessment, planning, and data collection efforts across the institution. This Council is made up of representatives from all the Health Science Center's academic units and meets quarterly.

Its specific functions are to:

  • Establish a network of contacts from all Health Science Center units to address issues related to institutional effectiveness,
  • Coordinate data collection and assessment efforts across the Health Science Center to streamline future self-study and strategic planning processes, and
  • Provide a forum for Council members to share best practices, generate ideas for process improvement, and encourage collaboration among units.
