Entourage Tutorial for Macintosh Users: Global Address List

Entourage 2004: Setting up the Global Address Book

To gain access to the HSC Global Address Book you will need to configure your Entourage client according to the following tutorial. If you have trouble or have any questions concerning the setup or configuration of your client, please call (800) 799-7472 or email the help desk to submit a work order.

1. From the Entourage menu, click Account Settings.

2. Click on the Exchange tab, then click Edit.

3. Make sure your Domain is set to ad.tamhsc.edu and the Exchange server is set to:

Administration: connallymail1.ad.tamhsc.edu
Baylor College of Dentistry: bcdmail1.ad.tamhsc.edu
College of Medicine - College Station: reynoldsmail1.ad.tamhsc.edu
College of Medicine - Temple: mrbmail1.ad.tamhsc.edu
College of Pharmacy: copmail1.ad.tamhsc.edu
Institute of Biosciences and Technology: ibtmail1.ad.tamhsc.edu
School of Rural Public Health: connallymail1.ad.tamhsc.edu
College of Nursing: connallymail1.ad.tamhsc.edu

4. Click the Advanced tab and add adriancead1.ad.tamhsc.edu as the LDAP server, as seen below. Also, make sure "This server requires me to log on" is checked and all other boxes are unchecked. Click OK.

5. Click on the Address Book button and you will see an address book listed as your Account name. This is your Global Address Book. You will now be able to search the Global Address Book, as well as having full auto-complete functionality within the mail and calendar features of Entourage.
