HSC-OIT has implemented a new and improved service desk management software for the Help Desk. The product, Footprints by Numara Software, has replaced the Track-It system!
The move to Footprints brings several new functionalities and features to users including:
- • Use of online tool that allows users to reset their expired or forgotten HSC password using a set of pre-defined security questions.
- • Increased email notification services to keep users updated on the status of their reported incidents.
- • Utilization of self-service portal that allows users instant access to all of their incidents along with tracking and reporting on current and past incidents.
- • Access to a database that complements the HSC Help Desk, called a knowledge base, which contains organized tutorials, solutions to common issues and frequently asked questions.
Helpful Hints
Phishing is a type of email fraud in which the sender poses as a trusted source to gain sensitive information. Please be assured that HSC-OIT personnel will never ask you to send or confirm sensitive information by email.
Examples of sensitive information includes, but is not limited to, passwords, financial information or social security numbers. If you receive a message in your email client's inbox from someone purporting to be HSC-OIT and asking for this type of personal information, please do not respond to it. It is most likely a fraud, who's sole purpose is to gain access to your personal data. To be safe, you may add the sender to your blocked email or spam or junk email lists.
