Follow these steps to set up a Blackboard site for your course:

Login

The login page is located at: https://elearning.tamhsc.edu/  

On this page, you will enter your username and password (do not include @tamhsc.edu)

Once authenticated, the My Institution page will appear. You can access your courses through the My Courses module or the Courses tab.  Modules on both institutional and course landing pages can be customized.

You can access Blackboard at any time using your HSC username and password.
Note: Please use your Active Directory information to access Blackboard.

Blackboard Home Page

Upon logging in, you will be directed to your personal Blackboard homepage. You can refer to the listing below for a description of the features available to you.

Features:
  1. My Institution tab: This is your gateway to all of the courses that you are developing and teaching. This page also includes a general tool box (6) as well as buttons to customize the look and layout of your Blackboard homepage (5).
  2. Courses tab: Click this tab to access all courses with which you are associated as an Instructor, Teaching Assistant or Course Builder. Courses from past semesters are accessible here.
  3. Organizations: If you are advising a HSC-affiliated organization, Blackboard allows you to manage and communicate with members of your group through organization sites.
  4. Help: Click this tab or the question mark icon to find answers to all of your Blackboard questions. You can also access Blackboard tutorials, get help with advanced topics and read about new features in the latest version of Blackboard.
  5. Modify Content and Modify Layout buttons: To change the look of your homepage and make boxes such as Blackboard System Info, My Announcements, Student Information, and My Courses visible, click these buttons.
  6. Tools: This box includes links to send emails, make announcements and change your personal information.
