The Texas A&M Health Science Center is committed to providing superior educational opportunities in the safest environment possible. TAMHSC is compliant with Texas House Bill 2758, which requires institutions of higher education to disseminate critical information from an authorized source during campus emergencies.
To ensure individuals receive emergency notifications without delay, the e2Campus emergency alert system is used to send simultaneous notifications by email, text message, websites and RSS feeds. Emergency alert notifications will only be sent during emergency situations and conditions, including weather cancellations and delays.
The emergency alert system will contain email addresses for all faculty, staff and students of TAMHSC. Mobile phone numbers and alternate email addresses can be added, or you can opt out of the system, by following the steps in the Emergency Alert Tutorial.
TAMHSC personnel participating in state contracts or receiving reimbursements for phone and PDA services are required to participate in the text messaging option. All TAMHSC personnel and students are highly encouraged to add a mobile number to allow alerts by text message. Your mobile phone/device must be able to receive text messages, and your service plan must support receiving them. If you are unsure, please check with your service provider.
