LISTSERV

The Texas A&M Cancer Research Council has implemented an electronic bulletin board to foster dialogue about cancer-focused research.  This LISTSERV will facilitate conversations on current and potential collaborations, techniques, upcoming seminars and lectures, and available resources.  All members of the CPRIT LISTSERV will have access to:

  • Discussions: Members may read or post new topics for discussion
  • About This Group: Members may view information about the group, including new members, owners, editors, etc.
  • Edit My Membership: Members may manage the frequency and number of emails they receive from the CPRIT Group

 

Join the LISTSERV to participate in discussions and receive timely information.  The LISTSERV home page is located at https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics.  Procedures for joining the LISTSERV and signing in differ for members and non-members of the Texas A&M Health Science Center.  In the event that you experience any difficulty, detailed instructions are provided below.

How to Join

  1. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  2. Click on: "Join this group"
  3. Click on: "Sing in to Texas A&M Health Science Center"
  4. On the "Shibboleth Identity Provider Login", enter your HSC Username and Password
  5. Click on: "Login"

 

To Sign In Once You've Joined

  1. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  2. Click on: "Sign in" (located in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window)
  3. On the "Shibboleth Identity Provider Login", enter your HSC Username and Password
  4. Click on: "Login"

Non-HSC Members

How to Join*

  1. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  2. Click on: "Join this group"
  3. Click on: "Sing in with a different account"
  4. At "Enter Your Email Address", provide the email address associated with your Google Account and click on: "Go"
  5. On the "Google Groups" page, enter your Google Account password and click on: "Sign in"

 

To Sign In Once You've Joined

  1. Navigate to https://groups.google.com/a/tamhsc.edu/group/cprit/topics
  2. Click on: "Sign in" (located in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window)
  3. On the "Shibboleth Identity Provider Login", click on: "Click here to log in with your Google Account"
  4. On the "Sign In" page, enter the email address and password associated with your Google Account and click on: "Sign in"

 

*Note; All non-HSC members must have a Google Account in order to join this LISTSERV.  For help establishing an account, see "How to...Create a Google Account" below.

How To...

Create a Google Account (necessary for all non-HSC members).

  • Navigate to http://www.google.com
  • Click on: "Sign in" in the upper right-hand corner of your browser
  • Click on: "Create an account now"
  • Provide the information requested
  • After reading the "Terms of Service", click on "I accept. Create my account."

 

Post to the discussion board.

  • When logged-in to the CPRIT Google groups site, select "Discussions"
  • Click on: "+ New Post"

Manage the emails you receive from the CPRIT Google Group.

  • When logged-in to the CPRIT Google group, click on: "Edit my membership"
  • Make your desired choice under "How do you want to read this group?".  Your options are:
    • Each and every email
    • A digest email (25 messages bundled into one)
    • An abridged email (for every 100 emails or once per day)
    • No email (you will have to visit the CPRIT Google group to view discussions)

 

Set the email address to which the CPRIT Google Group messages are sent.

If you are using a Google Account to log in (as opposed to an HSC Username), you need to define where you wish to receive your CPRIT group emails by adding that email address to your Google "Account Settings" and then selecting that email address in your CPRIT "Group Settings".

  • Add the desired email address to your Google account:
    • Login to Google Groups
    • Visit "Account Settings"
    • Click on: "Edit" below the list of your email addresses
    • Add the desired email address and click on: "Save"
    • You will receive a verification email at the new address; you must follow the instructions in that address to activate that update

 

  • Specify which email address to use:
    • Navigate to the CPRIT group
    • Click on: "Group Settings"
    • Select the drop-down box under "Email" and select the email address that you wish to receive the CPRIT Google Group emails.
    • Click on: "Save group settings"

 

Sign out of the CPRIT Google Group Session.

  • Click on your email sign-in address in the upper right-hand corner of the browser
  • Click on: "Sign out"
  • Close the browser
