Child Protection Training

All camp counselors, volunteers, and staff are required to complete the Texas A&M University System Child Protection Training Course (#2111652)  PRIOR to being employed and/or volunteering for any HSC Camp or Program for Minors. To take the TAMUS training follow one of the two procedures below.

Current TAMUS employees:

  1. Log in to Single Sign On (SSO)
  2. Choose TrainTraq from the SSO Menu
  3. Choose the Course Catalog tab at the top of the page
  4. Enter Course name (Child Protection Training) or number (2111652)
  5. Click Start Course
  6. Print a copy of completion confirmation and provide it to appropriate camp director or staff*

 

For non TAMUS employees

  1. Visit the External Gateway
  2. Login using your email address and the password provided by Risk Management
  3. Scroll through and find appropriate course name (2111652: Child Protection Training)
  4. Click Start
  5. Print a copy of completion confirmation and provide it to appropriate camp director or staff*

 

*Documentation of those individuals that take the training must be retained and submitted to hsc-camps@tamhsc.edu using the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) form a minimum of five days prior to the start of the camp.   Risk Management will be responsible for submission to TDSHS.
