The 18 Characteristics of Texas Doctoral Programs is a set of guidelines developed by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) which provide a snapshot of all doctoral programs at public universities and health-related institutions (see TAC Rule 5.51). The data included as part of the 18 Characteristics is intended to provide information to the institutions for self-improvement and to serve as a guide to interested members of the general public, specifically prospective students.
The 18 Characteristics for the Texas A&M Health Science Center doctoral programs are published in November with information from the previous academic year. Current data reflects program characteristics for the 2012-13 academic year. Any questions or concerns related to the 18 characteristics should be directed to Amanda Allen ([email protected]).
