Student Headcount
The growing number of professional and graduate students at the health science center reflects the gathering momentum of the institution as a whole.

Baylor College of Dentistry, the College of Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the School of Rural Public Health all experienced increases in enrollment over the past year, building on the previous year's increases. Total enrollment at the A&M Health Science Center is approaching 1,200 students.
Degrees Granted
Since it was established in 1999, the A&M Health Science Center has continued to grant a steadily increasing number of degrees and certificates. This trend has continued over the past academic year. As in 2002, the School of Rural Public Health has experienced the highest growth in number of degrees awarded. The other health science center components also posted gains in numbers of graduates.
Diversity

The A&M Health Science Center is making steady progress in its quest to recruit qualified students from underrepresented ethnic groups. African-American and Hispanic student enrollment has increased since the establishment of the health science center in 1999. The A&M Health Science Center is dedicated to fostering further improvements in this area by attracting outstanding students of all backgrounds and ethnicities.
