The program also allows students in grades 7-12 to explore dentistry through field trips to the college.

The Dental Oncology Education Program, created in the spring of 1992 with funding from the Texas Cancer Council, is working to increase the effectiveness of dental professionals in oral cancer prevention and early detection and management of oral sequelae of cancer therapy. The program seeks to unify cancer control efforts, provide speakers and information on oral cancer prevention and detection, and assist in the dissemination of this information.

The Coastal Bend Health Education Center (CBHEC) brings a number of important educational programs to the Coastal Bend region, including Corpus Christi and the surrounding area.
